Grammarly Plagiarism Checker in Promoting Quality

Abstract

 The need for quality output in the research sphere is paramount to the overall success in the academic environment. Most student finds it difficult to construct a grammar that will match the message they intend to convey. This has further posed a series of workloads on the part of their supervisors in reading and correcting grammatical tenses and phrases. The present study sought to examine Grammarly plagiarism checkers in promoting quality research practices among students in tertiary institutions in Cross River State: Implication in research outputs. The study adopted a descriptive survey design using a population of 494 respondents from the University of Calabar, Cross River University of Technology, College of Education Obudu, and Akamkpa and College of Health Technology. A sample of 209 (50%) was drawn using stratified and simple random sampling techniques and a well-validated questionnaire titled Grammarly plagiarism checker questionnaire (GPCQ) Was used for data collection. The reliability was established with inter-rater reliability and the index ranged from .087 to .92 and the findings revealed that
